My academic path has always been accompanied by intense political and social activism.
This led me to the awareness and realization that universal values, for the formation of a more equitable and just society, are based on the principles of respect for both human rights and our historical-cultural heritage, as well as the principles of environmental sustainability and protection of our ecosystem, in which we are not the main actors but guests.
My education
Born in Messina, I grew up in Santa Teresa di Riva, a beautiful town on the Ionian Riviera.
After obtaining my Classical High School Diploma, I graduated in Building Engineering-Architecture at the University of Catania with an experimental thesis on the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the sustainable redevelopment of buildings.
I now live and work between Messina and Catania where I work as a freelance engineer and architect.
During my university years, alongside the traditional academic path, I also followed a training program at Camplus d’Aragona, a University College of Merit recognized by the MIUR, with high educational and cultural standards, which aims to enhance talent, merit, and the intercultural nature of education.
Over the years of University I had the opportunity to travel a lot, realizing that direct interaction with different cultures, customs, and traditions is as educational as academic study. The multiculturalism and the diversity of worlds we encounter while traveling is the challenge of our century, as today’s society must take into account different voices and give each of them the same dignity, without social, cultural, or religious prejudice.
My civil and political commitment was born precisely in those years, during which I held some elected positions at the University of Catania. Later, together with friends with whom I carried out various initiatives on issues and values dear to us, I founded the Sinergie Association, in which I served as President.
MY STORY
In the professional field
In the professional field I have specialized in project management and in the technical area of engineering and architecture dealing with sustainable building and energy efficiency related to innovative construction systems.
After obtaining my license to practice the profession, I enhanced my education by integrating it with a period of study, in English, abroad at the EF Executive Language Institute in Manchester (UK).
At the age of 30, after a post-graduate period at some professional firms, I started my own Professional Studio offering Engineering and Architecture services.
Thanks to the versatile nature and the complementarity and competence of the team of professionals, it is now a rapidly growing reality.
Council of the Order and Foundation of Engineers of Catania
In 2017 I was elected to the Council of the Order of Engineers of Catania, where I was given the delegation for youth policies and internationalization and I was a member of the National Network of Young Engineers.
As a Councilor of the Order I was particularly attentive to the issue of youth entry into the labor market which, to this day, often forces many young people of my generation to make the difficult choice of seeking work abroad with a consequent dispersion of knowledge and professionalism that was formed here, but which is instead dissipated and absorbed in other European countries where work dignity is an unquestionable value for every ordinary citizen.
In 2025, after two terms on the Council of the Order of Engineers of Catania, I was appointed Secretary of the Foundation of the Order of Engineers of Catania.
The beginning of my political career
In 2019 I was a candidate with the Five Star Movement in the European Elections in the Islands Constituency, receiving 17,765 preferences but without being elected. An important experience that allowed me to travel and get to know almost all the municipalities of Sicily and to interact with thousands of people from different local realities.
To this day, politics is a passion that occupies a large part of my life. I believe that participation is the means that we all have to make a difference in creating a more just society, attentive to the needs of its citizens, guaranteeing their fundamental rights to a complete education, to work or assistance—these being fundamental prerequisites for social dignity, an undeniable principle for every human being.
